Hi I am trying to design a programmer using the winpicprog software that can use port 1, db9 serial port, is this possible and if so any tips would be appreciated. The db 25 ports are becomes obsolete.Thanks

No, WinPicProg is parallel port programming software. You would need to use different software and programming hardware compatible with it
