Hi. I'm really struggling here. I skipped the first sections and went straight to tutorail 6.6 (I2C Clock), built the board and got the clock working fine. I even managed to change the code and get it to do something different. However, I then started looking at EEPROMS, went back to the earlier tutorials, built the board(s) etc, but I just cannot get them to work. All I get is the 3 error messages ef and g. On tutorial 1, it then hangs unless I use the software write delay (call delay 10), then it repeats but just a string of ef and g's both reading and writing. Has to be something simple and I've checked the wiring over and over but can't find a fault. Should I be using any special wire or screening on the I2C leads? Are the pull ups critical (I'm using 10k instaed of 12k)? With pins 1 to 4 of the EEPROM all connected to VSS (gnd), the chip addresses are A0 and A1 as per the listing aren't they? Any body got any ideas please? _________________ Ian |
